Maintenance Facility

In the 1970's fire district 7 obtained a building located at 206 Adrian Ave NW, which was used as a carpentry shop. Once obtained, this became our primary fire station. The building was built in 1965. This building served the public as a fire station for a couple of decades until the district was able to purchase an old grocery store on highway 28 in lakeview, to serve as its headquarters. Today the old grocery store still serves as fire district 7's headquarters.
This building on Adrian Ave NW is now the fire district's maintenance facility. This is where our volunteers and part-time mechanic repair fire engines and equipment. Because we cannot afford new fire engines, we fabricate brush engines from military surplus vehicles. This building had an add-on in the early 1990's.
