Fire Station #1

A modern building with a gray exterior and striking red doors, set against a clear blue sky and green trees.

Station #1 is located at 155 Wa-28 W in the unincorporated area of Grant County known as Lakeview. Station #1 was acquired in the late 80’s. The building was built in the 1960’s with several additions along the way. It previously served as a Grocery Store until it was purchased by Fire District 7. Today it serves as Fire District 7’s primary Fire Station. It houses 2 Ambulances, 2 Structure Engines, 2 Brush Engines and 1 Water Tender. The station has 6 Garage doors however houses 7 Apparatus. An additional 2 Brush units are parked outside because we do not have any other space for them inside the station. There is a small training room, kitchen, office, and several storage rooms. Many of the conversions from a Grocery Store to a Fire Station were done by its hard-working volunteers. Recent additions of a fence with gate to secure fire engines outside as we have had the theft of catalytic converters in the past.
