Thank you all for your continued support and success of proposition #1 the levy lid lift. Current numbers are at 65%. It is because of you all that we were successful. I can assure you that with the passing of this proposition, it will allow us to upgrade our aged fleet, and our buildings that have been poorly maintained in the past. This proposition will not be used for wants. It is for needs. We will continue to be good stewards of taxpayers money and are increasing our transparency with an updated web page which will have all of our meeting agendas’. approved minutes and our budget. As we prepare our 2024 budget and our 5 year strategic plan we will do so with the needs of the tax payers in mind which include an increase in services and our hope of lower insurance rates.

As we all know the Soap Lake area is one of the lowest in poverty so any way we can increase service and save money to the taxpayers is what we will do. For example we implemented our EMS Transport program in July. This is a charge service however, we do not charge our tax payers individually we only go as far as charging their insurance. This is unlike the other ambulance services available in the area as they will charge the user and their insurance and send them to collections, which will not help our poverty level. We did this with the hopes of allowing people to get ahead in life, provide for their families and have a better quality of life.

Thank you all for your support of Grant County Fire District 7.
